Becky has over 15 years experience in human resource administration and employee benefits management. Prior to joining VFBC, Becky was the Director of Benefits for a large national retailer.
She has experience in the design and implementation of benefit plans for active employees and retirees, the majority of which were funded through a VEBA trust. Becky conducted annual benefit surveys of retail industry peers, ensuring company offered plans were competitive in cost and design. In addition to health and welfare plans, Becky managed two retirement plans which combined exceeded over $400 million in assets. She has a strong understanding of compliance requirements for state and federal laws (ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA). This includes hands-on experience with financial and procedural audits and corresponding IRS/DOL 5500 and 990 filings.
Becky has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science from the State University of New York at Cortland. She also completed an internship as a Health Educator with The Department of Veterans Affairs, New Jersey Health Care System.
