Prior to co-founding Valley Forge Benefits Consulting, Mike worked for two nationally recognized insurance carriers. As an underwriter, he was responsible for underwriting and pricing in the large employer market.
Jim is a Principal of Valley Forge Benefits Consulting (VFBC) and has over 20 years experience as a health care and group benefit consultant to large employers and trusts for their active and retiree populations. Jim has worked for a two leading benefit consulting firms and joined VFBC after identifying a need in the market place for cost effective and high quality services.
Dave is a Principal of Valley Forge Benefits Consulting (VFBC) and has over 18 years experience as a group benefit underwriter, consultant and carrier representative. Prior to forming VFBC, Dave worked for two national insurance carriers in various senior roles. Dave formed VFBC to address a growing need to provide our clients with focus and expertise in their ancillary benefit portfolio.
Carolyn Calvey has spent most of her career in the HR consulting field, specializing in employee benefits analysis, communications and population health management. Most importantly, Carolyn leads both the wellness practice and the communication practice of our firm. She develops branded newsletters for our clients to assist them in most effectively communicating HR, Benefits and Wellness information. Carolyn enjoys helping clients create the most effective strategies to best impact the livelihood of employees.
Lauren Edelson has spent a majority of her career in Human Resources Management, specializing in benefits communication, union contract negotiations, labor relations, employee relations, training and development, policy and procedure writing and analysis.;Lauren has managed upwards of 1,400 employees at multiple locations and has orchestrated career fairs to hire over 500 employees during her tenure. She has experience handling multiple ongoing time sensitive projects as well as ensuring company observance of various Government compliance organizational laws such as those put forth by OSHA and the EEOC.
Rachel has spent most of her career in the Human Resources consulting field, specializing in employee benefits analysis and client relationship management. Rachel works with clients on all aspects of vendor management and customer service, ensuring that performance guarantees are met. She proactively tracks costs against budgets and analyzes client trends against the marketplace in order to create the most effective benefits solutions.
Becky has over 15 years experience in human resource administration and employee benefits management. Prior to joining VFBC, Becky was the Director of Benefits for a large national retailer.
Tara has been a group benefits underwriter for over 11 years. Prior to joining Valley Forge Benefits Consulting, she previously worked in underwriting and benefit marketing for a Third Party Administrator. Tara has extensive experience working with both self-funded and fully insured lines of benefits coverage for groups with 2 to 5,000 lives.
